THE HINDU YOUNG WORLD QUIZ 2010
The annual multi-city quiz contest by The Hindu Young World is back in its eleventh edition, and will be rolled out on October 21st, 2010 from Hyderabad , to the All India Final in Coimbatore on November 25th , 2010. Billed as “the most eagerly looked forward to event” for schoolchildren, the annual quiz attracts talented young minds from all over the country, will be conducted at 13 centres with questions from varied topics such as epics, history, films, music, science etc.
The Young World quiz will be conducted at the following Centres: Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Salem, Bangalore, Hubli, Mangalore, Kozhikode, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Trichy, Madurai, Puducherry, Tirupati and culminating in an All India Final in Chennai.. There are three prizes at the regional level and three at the All India Final.
The contest is open this year for students from classes seven to nine. Any two students from the same school can form a team and each school can send in a maximum of four teams, using the Entry Cards sent to them.
The schools should send the entries to the local regional office of The Hindu within the specified dates.
The Hindu will meet the cost of the travel, boarding, and lodging of the teams and for one accompanying parent or teacher from the other centres for the national Semi-Finals and Final in Coimbatore .

Mangalam college of Engineering, Etumanoor is proud to announce a 2 day inter college technical festival PYROS 2K11 to be held on 10th and 11th of January 2011.
We have organized a Quiz competition named “ENCUESTA “ for students of classes 9-12.Cash prizes worth Rs 8000 awaits the winners. The quiz competition will be conducted on Jan 10th with preliminary in the morning session & finals in the afternoon session.
Registration should be done between 8:30- 9:30 am.
General Rules and information regarding the Quiz competition
1. It is a general quiz for students from 9-12.
2. Only 1 team is allowed from a school comprising 2 participants.
3. The competition comprise of 2 rounds with audio -visual
questions in the final round.
4. Only 6 teams will qualify for the final round.
5. Decision by the Quiz master and Pyros team shall be final.
